Another one of my favorite hobbies

Hi, everyone -

Mama keeps telling me that I am an "outdoors" type of dog. In fact, she said if she and Papa had a doghouse for me outside that I would probably want to live in that instead of our nice warm house. Here is the picture.

Mama wants to know which hobby I would rather do. She says the sticks win!

A Lovely Poem

Hi, everybody -

My groomer gave this poem to Mama. This is for all the doggies, cats and other animals that are waiting for us in heaven from Mama, Kaci and I (Hershey):


If It Should Be


If it should be that I grow weak and pain should keep me from my sleep.
Then you must do what must be done, for this last battle cannot be won.
You will be sad I understand. Don't let grief then stay your hand.
For this day more than all the rest, your love for me must stand the test.
We've had so many happy years, what is to come can hold no fears.
You'd not want me to suffer, so the time has come to let me go.
Take me where my needs they'll tend, and please stay with me until the end.

Hi, everyone -

This is a squirrel that visits Grammy's feeder. Papa took the video when we visited Kaci and Grammy. What a silly squirrel!

There is still lots of snow

Hi, new friends and pup pals -

I (Hershey) just got back from New Hampshire with Papa. I was happy to see Mama but I was having so much fun outrunning Kaci that I didn't get much sleep (or as Asta says sneep). There was so much snow on the ground I wasn't sure if there was any grass or dirt. (Dirt is one of my favorite things to eat but Mama thinks that's disgusting). Here is the first picture:

As all of you can see there is still a lot of snow in New Hampshire. However, Butchy and Snickers may think that there is more snow on the ground in Iowa. Mama is not sure but both states have way too much snow. All this snow may last until June - Mama is glad there is no snow on the ground in Connecticut!

This trip is so boring compared to Asta's travels!

More sad news

Hi, everyone -

As you may or may not be aware Lacylulu did not make it through her surgery. Mama, Kaci and I are so sad and heartbroken about this news. We knew Lacylulu for a short time and we will miss her so much. Tributes have been posted on Asta and Hammer's blog.

We are really sad doggies and Mama is upset too. But we are glad that we were able to meet Lacylulu and become pup pals and blogging friends.

Today is also my Grammy's birthday. It is also raining "cats and dogs" please pardon the pun.
