I was really naughty

Hi, everyone -

I (Hershey) was really naughty last week. Papa had the day off and we played frisbee and went swimming with Anthony and Colleen. Then Papa decided to go out on the boat before Mama came home from work.
After a while, Papa came home. He asked if I would "help" him take the boat off of the car. We went outside and I smelled something really goooooood. Our neighbors decided to discard remnants of their supper in their back yard so I went over the wall to investigate. Papa was not too happy and started calling for me.
Mama heard him and ran out of the house calling for me to come. I came back but I had a piece of meat and a bone in my mouth. Mama told me to drop it - well I thought it was a game and didn't listen to her. I ran with the bone to the other side of the house and almost ended up in the street. Mama was really unhappy with me and gave me a good "talking to." So I guess you could say that I have stolen some food.
Love -
Hershey

If you are going to steal food, try and stay clear of the road, okay...roads can be scary.
I am sure all is well now...maybe if she got you some snackies??? uh, ya think

Hershey. When will humines learn that if it's in your mouth, chances are if they chase you you are going to run. If you dropped that meat on command, we are VERY impressed.

We understand temptation.

We aren't convinced that what you did was all that wrong. Poorly timed, maybe. But totally within typical expectations of a dog with a good nose.

Don't feel bad, Hershey. I wouldn't have been able to resist doing the same too. But be careful when you are out in the streets, ok?

Pee ess: Thanks for your well wishes. Big hugs!

Hi Hershey
I am an English Setter "possessed" when it comes to food so I would have run as fast as my fat body could have carried me with that piece of meat and bone. My mum would have scolded me too.
Thank you all so very much for your support and concern for Hobson, and also for Rose.
Love from Hammer

We never listen when we have food when we're not supposed to have either! We get the shifty-eye look and try to slink off!
We hope your mom forgave you, Hershey!

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
